The man on a bike is sought in the beating of an elderly man outside a Las Vegas pharmacy on April 3, 2017.

Detectives are trying to identify a bike-riding suspect they say seriously injured an elderly man in a robbery outside a central valley pharmacy last month, according to Metro Police.

Officers arrived shortly before noon on April 3 to the parking lot of the drugstore, 1101 Las Vegas Blvd. South, near Charleston Boulevard, and found the victim with multiple broken bones, police said. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

According to police, the man was on his way inside the store when the suspect attacked him by pushing him to the ground, taking some of his belongings.

Police on Tuesday released surveillance images they say show the suspect, a black man in his 30s, who stands about 6-foot-3 and weighs about 180 pounds.

He wore a white T-shirt and shorts, black shoes and he carried a black backpack, police said. He rode a red BMX-style bicycle, police said.
