A Las Vegas man has died from severe burns he suffered earlier this month while attempting to fight a shed fire with a garden hose, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.
The fire happened May 5 on Crestline Drive, near Alta and Torrey Pines drives, officials said.
The victim, awoken from a nap by his neighbor, attempted to put the fire out before it reached the back of his house, officials said. He suffered severe burns to his legs and was taken to University Medical Center, officials said.
He remained at UMC until he succumbed to his injuries this morning, officials said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
