Authorities arrested and charged a 61-year-old former Clark County School District employee Monday with two counts of felony child abuse after an internal investigation.

Theodore Levrich, who worked as a teacher’s assistant from January to April of this year, allegedly grabbed, pushed and dragged one of the two students — a 6-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy — across the library floor at Doris French Elementary School, CCSD Police Capt. Ken Young said.

The April incident was witnessed by a fellow staff member and reported to local police, Young said, and Levrich was fired on the spot.

He was arrested Monday at his Las Vegas home upon the conclusion of the investigation.

Neither student sustained injuries, Young said.
