A homeowner who received a security alert returned home to find a man who'd just broken into the east valley house and was sitting in the driveway in a car packed with belongings taken in the burglary, according to Metro Police.

The victim was able to take a photo of the suspect, who investigators later identified as Norberto Espinoza, 43, police said Friday.

Espinoza should be considered armed and dangerous and a warrant for his arrest was issued Friday, according to police and court records.

Officers were dispatched to the home at 12:05 p.m. Nov. 10 in a residential area near Desert Inn Road and Cabana Drive, east of Nellis Boulevard, police said.

Before he left the stolen car behind and fled on foot, Espinoza got in a fight with the victim, who had snapped a photo, police said. Investigators determined that the car was taken at gunpoint about two miles away on Oct. 31.

The victim, who was responding to an alarm, blocked Espinoza's car, which was parked on the driveway, police said.

Espinoza is facing one count each of burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle, court records show.
