Findlay Prep’s Bol Bol signs with Oregon Ducks basketball

The Oregon Ducks entered the week with the top-rated recruiting class in program history.

But that effort went to a whole new level Monday morning with the commitment of five-star center Bol Bol.

Shortly thereafter, Oregon officially announced the signing of the 7-foot-2, 225-pound center, out of Findlay Prep in Henderson.

"We are really excited to welcome Bol Bol to our program," Oregon coach Dana Altman said in a news release. "Obviously he is a very unique player with a special basketball history and a great basketball family.

"Coach Tony Stubblefield developed a strong relationship with Bol and his mother and we are really looking forward to watch Bol develop both as a player and a person."

Bol, rated the nation's No. 2 prospect nationally by Scout and No. 3 talent by 247Sports, is projected as a top-five pick in the 2019 NBA draft.

Altman indicated Oregon's plan will be to prep him for life in the NBA — on and off the court.

"Our job is to get him here in the summer and help him grow as a person," he said. "Get him some communications classes, things that will help him; some finance classes that will help him. And then try to help him as a player."

Here is Bol's player bio:
