Authorities are investigating an "unsubstantiated" threat that has spread online about a possible shooting at at least one valley school, similar to reports from other five states, according to the Clark County School District.
"Some of you have reached out to us about an unsubstantiated threat that has been circulating online about a possible school shooting this week," the school district announced on its Facebook account. "We are working with our local law enforcement partners to investigate this threat."
There have been similar threats in five other states, officials said.
An investigation has begun and continued Wednesday night, officials said. "It is already a difficult time for our community — thank you for your patience and support."
The threat was received days after a gunman killed dozens of concert attendees and wounded hundreds more during a country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip.
Further details were not immediately available.
