Travelers who lost IDs amid shooting can still fly

People who lost their identification cards while fleeing Sunday night’s shooting on the Las Vegas Strip can still fly out of McCarran International Airport, officials said today.

Airport officials said those who lost their IDs can get a boarding pass at their airline’s ticket counter and proceed to security. They should notify a Transportation Security Administration agent of their circumstances, and they will be taken through a process to confirm their identity, officials said.

Once a person’s identity is confirmed, they will go through the normal security screening and proceed to their gate, officials said.

Additionally, the USO Las Vegas is offering its lounges for family members of shooting victims to rest. The lounges are located in Terminal 1 near the A/B security checkpoint and Terminal 3 near baggage claim.
