As a frequent visitor to Las Vegas and a neighbor with many friends in Nevada, I am terribly sad about the carnage at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.
Why are commonsense gun laws so anathema to our leadership? Why does one person who owns dozens of high-powered rifles not raise a red flag, and why is his right to own them being allowed to trump the safety of our people?
This is tearing the fabric of our society apart.
