Girl, 14, arrested in stabbing at Clark High

A 14-year-old girl was arrested after stabbing a 16-year-old student this afternoon at Clark High School, Clark County School District Police Capt. Ken Young said.

The stabbing happened about 12:30 p.m. in a hallway of Clark High, located at 4291 Pennwood Ave., near Arville Street, according to Young.

Both girls involved are students at Clark, Young said.

The suspect fled the scene but was later found and taken into custody, Young said. The victim was taken to University Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, Young said.

The school was put on lockdown for about an hour and a half, according to Young. The motive of the stabbing is unknown and the investigation is ongoing, Young said.
