Motorcyclist, 27, critically injured in crash with car

A 27-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash Tuesday night near Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway, according to Metro Police.

The Las Vegas man, who was thrown from the motorcycle, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said.

The crash happened about 5:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of Sahara Avenue. A car headed west on Sahara was attempting to make a left turn when the motorcycle, headed east, hit it, police said. The car spun into a wall at an apartment complex, police said.

The 68-year-old driver of the car suffered minor injuries, police said.
