Detectives are investigating after a woman was shot and killed in North Las Vegas this afternoon, according to city police.
The shooting was reported about 2:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of Lillis Avenue, near Pecos Road and Carey Avenue, police spokesman Eric Leavitt said.
Officers and medics found a 37-year-old woman fatally wounded outside a house, Leavitt said. Investigators believe she knew the shooter, who as of tonight hadn’t been arrested.
