Man arrested, charged with DUI after fatal crash Saturday morning

A driver suspected of being drunk is accused of running through a red light and killing two men in a car he rammed into this morning at the Spring Mountain Road and Polaris Avenue intersection, according to Metro Police.

The victims, Las Vegas residents aged 56 and 36 years old, died at the scene, police said.

First responders were summoned shortly after 3 a.m., police said. The suspect, Patrick Lacy Jr., 33, was hospitalized with moderate injuries and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of DUI.

At the time of the crash, Lacy was heading westbound in a 2006 Dodge Charger on Spring Mountain when he ignored a red light and struck a 2014 Ford Fiesta that was heading south on Polaris, police said.

Lacy, from Las Vegas, is jailed without bail, logs show.
