The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating after a worker fell to his death this morning at a construction site in the south valley, authorities said.

The Clark County Fire Department said the worker had been sandblasting pipes in the area and fell at least 20 feet into a hole.

The incident happened near Las Vegas Boulevard South and Johnathan Drive, in the area of St. Rose Parkway and Interstate 15, according to Metro Police.

Neither OSHA nor Metro released information on the circumstances surrounding the fall or the condition of the worker.

The Clark County Fire Department, which also responded to the incident, was not immediately available for comment.
