Police: Woman killed near resort’s parking garage

Security officers found the body of a woman early today who was fatally shot at a remote part of a south valley resort, according to Metro Police.

A guest at the Tahiti Village Resort, 7200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, reported hearing a single gunshot between 1:30 and 1:45 a.m. and informed security, Metro homicide Lt. Ray Spencer said.

The search lasted about an hour until the woman’s body was found near a hotel parking garage, Spencer said. She had been shot at least once, he said.

The victim had been walking with an unknown man about an hour before the shooting, police said. No suspect or motive have been identified, police said.
