Buckets and several plastic containers are show atop a pickup truck after a drug bust near Lake Mead Boulevard and Pecos Road, Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018.

North Las Vegas Police and federal agents today seized roughly 70 pounds of methamphetamine and made several arrests near Lake Mead Boulevard and Pecos Road, according to authorities.

Because it is an active and lengthy investigation, police could not release many more details on the bust, North Las Vegas Police Officer Eric Leavitt said this afternoon.

The only clues available come from a photo posted online by police. Buckets and several plastic containers sit atop a pickup truck. The containers and a box are filled with bags of white powder.

The operation is a collaboration between the Drug Enforcement Administration and North Las Vegas Police, Leavitt said.
