Las Vegas marshals stumble upon fatal west valley shooting

Upon hearing gunshot blasts, two Las Vegas marshals in the west valley arrived at a neighborhood early Wednesday to find a fatally wounded man who was armed, according to Metro Police.

The slaying occurred at 1:54 a.m. in the 1000 block of Redlands Circle, near Buffalo Drive and Washington Avenue, police said today.

The deputy marshals found a man lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. The victim, who was holding a gun, died at University Medical Center.

According to an account provided by police, the victim had arrived at the front of a house to meet with two men.

It wasn’t immediately clear what transpired before the shooting, but the suspects and the victim pulled out guns and a shooting ensued.

It wasn’t clear if the victim was able to pull the trigger.

The suspects fled before authorities arrived and haven’t been located, police said.
