President Donald Trump claimed May 20 that special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has cost $20 million in taxpayer money. Others say the actual cost is closer to $10.4 million.
A much larger expense that taxpayers get to pay are Trump’s golf outings. As of September, Trump has spent $77 million on golf outings. There’s hardly a comparison, when you look at both of the expenditures.
The Mueller investigation so far has produced 32 indictments and six convictions. Trump has never produced any of his scores from his golf outings for us to see, so we will never know how good or bad he has played. We will only get to see the “huge” expense.
