The Clark High basketball team will again be a contender for the state championship.

The Chargers are led by forward Jalen Hill, one of the nation’s top-100 recruits for the 2019 graduating class and a University of Oklahoma signee, and Arkansas State signee Antwon Jackson.

Hill and senior forward Ian Alexander were on the Chargers' 2016 championship team as freshmen. Jackson is one of the city's best post players. Sophomore guard Frankie Collins, who already has a UNLV scholarship offer, will be a leader in the backcourt.

Clark opened the season with a double-digit win on Saturday against Santa Margarita of California, giving it a quality victory against a respected out-of-state opponent to cement the championship aspirations.
