A nationally televised game last week gave a glimpse of how strong the Coronado High basketball team will be this season.

While the Cougars lost to reigning state champion Bishop Gorman on ESPNU, they had a lead in the second half and showed they’ll be a force come playoff time in February.

The Cougars are led by sophomore guard Jaden Hardy, who averaged 25 points per game last season and is one of his graduating class’s top players nationally. He’s joined in the backcourt by freshman Richard Isaacs, who already has multiple scholarship offers.

Juniors Tyrelle Hunt and Felix Reeves bring experience to the forward position.
