Students take cover after threat at Boulder City High

Students took cover under their desks and Boulder City High School was locked down today after someone called in an undisclosed threat, according to city officials.

The threat was made about 1 p.m. from an untraceable phone, said Lisa LaPlante, the Boulder City communications manager. She wasn’t certain what type of threat it was.

The campus was placed on a “soft lockdown” for about 40 minutes, LaPlante said. Students took cover as a precaution, she said.

Parents were notified of the situation, LaPlante said.

Two Boulder City Police officers were on the scene, LaPlante said.
