Here are some of those musical moments and some other entertainment options to balance out your weekend.

TANYA TUCKER This country favorite has been a superstar since the age of 13 and the release of “Delta Dawn.” This rodeo season she’s singing all her hits at the Golden Nugget’s showroom on Friday night, part of the downtown casino’s strong country lineup this weekend including John Michael Montgomery on Saturday and Ray Wylie Hubbard on Sunday. 6LACK The soulful singer and songwriter just teamed up with Fifth Harmony’s Normani for the single “Waves.” The East Atlanta artist’s current tour lands at the Pearl at the Palms Friday night. December 7, info at palms.com.

GEORGE STRAIT The King of Country’s Strait to Vegas series at T-Mobile Arena, which began with six shows in 2016, has been the biggest “residency” on the Strip for the last three years and will continue into 2019. Strait brings special guests Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen to his Friday and Saturday shows at T-Mobile. December 7-8, info at t-mobilearena.com.

VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS VS. DALLAS STARS Catch the Knights against the Stars Sunday at T-Mobile before the team hits the road for a four-game swing; they won’t be back on Vegas ice until December 20. December 9, info at vegasgoldenknights.com.

SQUIRREL NUT ZIPPERS Wrap your weekend with the Squirrel Nut Zippers’ “Holiday Caravan,” applying the band’s crazy jazz-folk-punk blend to originals and Christmas tunes. Shanda & The Howlers open Sunday at Brooklyn Bowl on the Linq Promenade. December 9, info at brooklynbowl.com.
