Sisolak to detail goals in Jan. 16 State of the State speech

CARSON CITY — Nevada Gov.-elect Steve Sisolak will give his inaugural State of the State speech in Carson City on Jan. 16.

The Democrat's transition team announced Tuesday that Sisolak will give the address at 6 p.m. from the Assembly Chambers of the Nevada Legislature.

The speech will lay out his priorities for the upcoming year and his upcoming four-year term. The address will be streamed online at gov.nv.gov.

Sisolak has spent a decade on the Clark County Commission, where he serves as chairman. He defeated Republican Attorney General Adam Laxalt in November.

Sisolak is scheduled to be inaugurated on Jan. 7.
