Man arrested on suspicion of DUI in fatal Las Vegas crash

A motorist was arrested on suspicion of DUI in a fatal crash early this morning on a central valley roadway, according to Metro Police.

Police arrested Stacey Frierson and booked him at the Clark County Detention Center on one count of DUI, jail logs show.

The crash occurred about 4:10 a.m. at the intersection of Eastern and Washington avenues, police said.

Responding officers found two injured men in two Lincoln Continental cars that crashed into a brick wall, police said. An investigation determined that Frierson was heading south, while the victim, a 42-year-old, was traveling west.

The victim, who was in a blue 2000 model, died at the scene, while Frierson, who was driving a 2003 silver model, suffered minor injuries, police said.

Frierson, 53, was tested for impairment at University Medical Center, police said.
