Revelers celebrate New Year’s Eve along the Las Vegas Strip Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017.

An estimated 318,000 visitors will ring in 2019 in Las Vegas, spending a projected $240 million, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

As of today, only 3 percent of the Las Vegas area’s 147,545 hotel rooms had not been booked for New Year’s Eve, the LVCVA said.

The figures are all up compared to last year.

The economic impact on the local economy this year is projected at $403 million, the LVCVA said.

Last year, some 309,000 visitors flew or drove to Las Vegas and spent $233 million, officials said. The economic impact was estimated at $391 million.

This year, revelers on the Strip will be treated to an eight-minute show of 80,000 fireworks launched from the roofs of seven resorts.
