Fire breaks out at apartment building east of Strip

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire this morning at an apartment building east of the Strip, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Nobody was injured, officials said.

The fire was reported shortly after 7 a.m. at a two-story building in the 400 block of East Twain Avenue. Smoke and flames were coming from a ground-floor unit, official said.

Firefighters had the blaze largely out in less than 10 minutes, officials said. It was not known if anyone was displaced. Damage had not yet been estimated.
