The Las Vegas Aces may not have an actual court just yet, but they have courtside seats.
On Tuesday, the WNBA team held a season-ticket-holder function at the Mandalay Bay Events Center for fans to pick out their seats for the franchise's inaugural season in Las Vegas.
The events center is still undergoing renovations for the upcoming season and the actual court has not been installed yet, but a light projection showed how the hardwood will be arranged inside the arena when the season tips off in May.
Several hundred people who put down deposits for season tickets were welcomed to check out sightlines before choosing their future seats.
Stuart and Ronna Timpa picked out a pair of seats behind the home team's bench.
"We picked the second row because I like to see the action," Ronna said. "I love being on top of the game and hearing what the coaches and the players say and seeing the excitement in their eyes."

Aces' head coach Bill Laimbeer was on hand to meet fans, as were players Moriah Jefferson and Kayla McBride.
The events center has a capacity of 12,000, and the Aces will get creative with their seating arrangements. Opposite the team benches there will be one row of courtside seats, and directly behind that will be an area of table seating, where food and drinks will be served.
Season-ticket holders Marie Dolson and Kathy Stenberg described themselves as fans of all Las Vegas sports teams, including the 51s, the Lights and the Golden Knights. When the Aces announced their arrival in Las Vegas, it didn't take Dolson and Stenberg long to jump on the bandwagon.
"It's exciting," Stenberg said. "We've been out here 31 years, and to finally see the sports grow besides a Triple-A team is really exciting. It's great for the city of Las Vegas. It's something that's overdue."
