A car struck and killed a man crossing a Henderson roadway outside a designated area Tuesday night, according to city police.
The man was trying to get across St. Rose Parkway, west of Starr Avenue, shortly before 11:30 p.m. when he was hit by a blue 2009 Toyota Camry, police said. He died on the road.
The motorist, who was not impaired, speeding or hurt, was cooperating with investigators, police said. The crash shut down west traffic at St. Rose for roughly four hours.
This was the fourth traffic fatality in Henderson this year.
