Metro Police say they have made an arrest after someone pulled a gun at a mall arcade Friday, causing widespread panic and numerous false reports of an active shooter.

Rayvon Berton, 22, was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on counts of assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon in connection with the incident at the GameWorks arcade at Town Square, police said.

Police received numerous calls about 9:10 p.m. Friday of an active shooter at the mall in the 6600 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, just south of the Strip. Officers later determined no shots were fired and nobody was injured, police said.

Detectives determined someone pulled a handgun during a confrontation between two groups of young men and juveniles, police said.

The incident caused chaos, with people being locked down inside the AMC Town Square theater out of caution and dozens of Metro units responding.
