Metro Police have arrested a man they say is the boyfriend of a woman who died after a domestic dispute last week in which she fell down a flight of apartment stairs in the northeast valley.
Dion Stanley, 24, has been booked at the Clark County Detention Center and charged with murder, police said.
Police were called about 3 a.m. Friday to an extended-stay complex on East Craig Road near Nellis Boulevard to investigate a domestic disturbance.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive woman with an apparent head wound, officials said. Stanley, who police determined was dating the victim, was on scene and was arrested.
The woman was taken to University Medical Center, where she later died.
Police said that the confrontation occurred on an outside walkway and that the woman "went tumbling down the stairs."
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after an autopsy.
Anyone with information can call Metro’s homicide division at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 to remain anonymous.
