LAUGHLIN — Authorities say a boil water order issued in Laughlin following a water main break could remain in effect until sometime Monday.

According to the Las Vegas Valley Water District, the main break Saturday prompted officials to shut off water to the resort corridor in Laughlin, an unincorporated town about 90 minutes south of Las Vegas.

Authorities still are investigating the cause of the leak.

Water district officials are on site repairing the leak and installing a new pipeline.

The Southern Nevada Health District and the water district have been in touch with the affected casinos and guests are being provided with bottled water.

Authorities say all water used for drinking or cooking in the affected corridor should be boiled or bottled until the order is lifted.
