Brian Greenspun, in his June 3 column “We must restore checks and balances,” bemoaned the vituperative polarity in politics today. Ironically, anti-Trump positions from most of the journalists, letter writers and the political cartoonist seen daily in the Sun might give him an insight to this likely irreconcilable schism,
Yes, our president is a blowhard — name me a president who hasn’t been. But in just 500 days, he’s blowing in a booming economy. He’s on the verge of blowing in the winds of peace on the Korean peninsula heretofore unthinkable.
This won’t deter his venomous detractors, though, who are destined for seven more years of ulcer-eating hatred. I feel sorry for them all.
