A 22-year-old motorist was killed this morning when he crashed his car into the back of a semitrailer in the southwest valley, according to Metro Police.
The crash happened about 4:10 a.m. at Rainbow Boulevard and Robindale Road, police said. The Las Vegas man, who was driving a 2012 Honda Civic, died at the scene, police said.
The man was speeding north on Rainbow when he crashed into the back of the truck, police said. His name has not yet been released by Clark County Coroner’s Office.
The crash resulted in the 67th traffic fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
