Police: Missing woman, 72, was hurt in hit-and-run accident

A 72-year-old woman reported missing after leaving home for a movie theater on Sunday was the victim of a hit-and-run accident and is in a hospital, according to Metro Police.

Marilyn Teague was in stable condition at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said today.

Teague had last been seen about 2 p.m. Sunday when she got on a bus to go to a movie theater and didn’t return home, police said.

The accident happened about 9:35 p.m. Sunday at Flamingo Road and Spencer Street, police said. The vehicle involved was a newer black sedan, police said.

Police on Monday requested that area hospitals check their registries for the woman.

No additional details were immediately released.
