Updated Friday, June 29, 2018 | 12:12 p.m.

The westbound lanes of the 215 Beltway were closed for more than three hours this morning near Decatur Boulevard after an oil spill resulted in seven crashes, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada reported the incident about 8:30 a.m. The highway reopened shortly before noon, the RTC reported.

The patrol said there were no serious injuries in the crashes between Decatur and Jones boulevards.

The Patrol warned motorists to expect major delays and avoid the area. Traffic was diverted onto Interstate 15 in the area, the patrol said.
