Stanley Cup tickets too expensive? Take out a loan

Knights Beat Jets in Game Four

Vegas Golden Knights fans cheer during a rally before Game 4 of their NHL hockey Western Conference Final game against the Winnipeg Jets Friday, May 18, 2018, at T-Mobile Arena.

With tickets for Monday’s Stanley Cup Final game between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Washington Capitals starting at about $1,000 on the secondary market, some fans might need to take out of small loan to afford them.

And that’s exactly what one local credit union is suggesting.

Silver State Schools Credit Union is advertising a personal loan of up to $5,000 for those “looking to create their own fan experience” and catch the action at T-Mobile Arena. Loans carry an annual percentage rate starting at 6.99 percent for 24 months.

People don’t have to be a member of the credit union to apply.
