Memorial Day weekend 2018 has come and gone in Las Vegas—who needs a nap? We can tell you who deserves some rest: Pink. The singer, songwriter and all-around onstage dynamo blew her Vegas audience away Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena on her Beautiful Trauma World Tour stop. She doesn’t just sing and dance. She performs her hits and crowd favorites from other artists, and she flies all over the arena with an aerial routine that would impress Cirque du Soleil’s acrobats. Lucky for you, she’s coming back to the Strip next spring, with a return date at T-Mobile on April 12, 2019.

The celebration of the new-look Palms continued over the holiday weekend as punk-pop outfit Blink-182 opened its new residency at the Pearl Theater Saturday night and shiny new nightclub venue Apex Social Club drew plenty of celebs to check out performances by rap legend Nas, “Tonight Show” and Roots bandleader Questlove and Blink drummer Travis Barker. Among the famous faces partying on the 55th floor: model and actress Emily Ratajkowski, “Vanderpump Rules” star Scheana Shay, “Empire” actress Serayah, “13 Reasons Why” actress Ajiona Alexus and Internet comedian The Fat Jewish.

Speaking of new venues and new headliners, the refurbished Mandalay Bay Events Center was looking mighty fine for the regular season debut of our newest home team, the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, who played it close with the Seattle Storm on Sunday but couldn’t come away with the W. This is going to be another exciting, major-league sports experience in our city and we highly recommend you grab tickets to an upcoming home game. MGM Resorts International added plenty of Strip star power on Sunday with a pregame performance from the “Michael Jackson ONE” crew, a stirring National Anthem by Boyz II Men and a terrific halftime show starring Jabbawockeez.

The "X Burlesque" team celebrates the show's anniversary at the Flamingo on May 24, 2018.

In show news, “X Burlesque” celebrated 16 years of performances on the Strip Thursday night with a red carpet reception at the Flamingo followed by a performance at Bugsy’s Cabaret featuring new set pieces, music and dance numbers. Producers and directors Angela and Matt Stabile welcomed guests including Cheryl James of Salt-N-Pepa, magician Xavier Mortimer, burlesque beauty Melody Sweets and more. And across the street at Caesars Palace, there’s a new summer schedule and some special guests at “The Cocktail Cabaret” at Cleopatra’s Barge. The show shifts to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and features Broadway veteran Brent Barrett (filling in as emcee for Eric Jordan Young) and singer Heidi Webster (filling in for Maren Wade).
