Best Bets: Blink-182, Billy Gibbons, Ghost and more for your Las Vegas weekend

Blink-182

David Becker

Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus bring Blink-182 back to the Pearl this weekend.

Are you ready to rock your way into the holiday season? This weekend is all about big stars with loud guitars as Thanksgiving approaches. Find the right rhythm, grab some earplugs and hit at least one of these epic concerts.

GREAT WHITE & SLAUGHTER Before the Killers and Panic! at the Disco and Imagine Dragons, there was a Vegas-born rock band that got tons of play on MTV and did some damage on the metal charts. Slaughter takes the stage downtown at the Golden Nugget Showroom with fellow enduring ’80s rockers Great White Friday night. November 16, info at goldennugget.com.

BLINK-182 Friday and Saturday bring the last shows of the pop-punk outfit’s pioneering mini-residency at the Pearl concert theater at the Palms, which is still being renovated. Next year will see similar runs from Billy Idol and Lady Antebellum, but this weekend is all about “All The Small Things,” “The Rock Show,” “What’s My Age Again?” and the rest of Blink’s big hits. November 16-17, info at palms.com.

GHOST What kind of show is taking over the Joint Saturday night? The kind that posts a warning to ticket buyers that spiked accessories are not allowed into the venue. Swedish avant-garde hard rock band Ghost floats into the Hard Rock Hotel to perform material from new album “Prequelle” and drop some over-the-top theatrics that even Vegas hasn’t seen before. BILLY GIBBONS As one-third of legendary Texas blues-rock trio ZZ Top, Gibbons is renowned as one of the all-time great rock guitarists. His solo work runs the gamut from blues, R&B and country to pop, gospel, western and rockabilly, and his new album “The Big Bad Blues” has already garnered rave reviews. He’ll set the stage on fire at Brooklyn Bowl at the Linq Promenade at center Strip Sunday. November 18, info at brooklynbowl.com.

A PERFECT CIRCLE Created by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan, A Perfect Circle has found something of a second home in Las Vegas, always bringing their grand, sweeping brand of rock to the city whenever reuniting for a new album or tour. APC performs at the Cosmopolitan’s Chelsea theater Sunday with support from trip-hop pioneer Tricky and electronic duo Night Club. November 18, info at cosmopolitanlasvegas.com.
