An Arizona motorist who died early today may have suffered a medical episode before crashing his SUV in the southeast valley, according to Metro Police.
The crash occurred about 4 a.m. on eastbound Sunset Road, near Pecos Road.
A 65-year-old man from Bullhead City, Ariz., was in a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe when it veered out of traffic, striking a light post and sections of a block wall, before re-entering the road, police said. That's where the SUV came to a rest.
The man died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said. The cause of death wasn't immediately known.
No other injuries were reported.
