North Las Vegas Police say they are looking for this car in connection with a shooting Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, that wounded a girl, 9, and a boy, 15, at a house in the 3600 block of Hamlin Place.

North Las Vegas Police today released a clearer photo of a car they say was involved in a shooting that wounded two children over the weekend.

Investigators are searching for a white four-door sedan with custom rims and a sunroof, police said. The car had a large dent in the hood.

Officers responded early Saturday to the 3600 block of Hamlin Place, near Vegas Drive and Gowan Road, where they found a girl, 9, and a boy, 15, with gunshot wounds, police said.

The victims were transported to University Medical Center, where they were expected to recover, police said. The shooting was captured on a home surveillance system.

The car pulled up to a house about 2 a.m., and two men got out and looked around before one of them pulled a gun and fired multiple rounds at the home, police said.

A number of adults and children were inside, police said. The girl was hit multiple times, and the teen suffered a single gunshot wound, police said.

“Investigators do not believe this was a random act of violence and that the victims and suspects are possibly known to each other,” police said Saturday in a news release. “As of now, detectives believe the people inside the house were targeted.”

The shooting was the second in two weeks in which children inside houses in North Las Vegas were hit by gunfire.

On Nov. 1, Angelina Erives, 11, was fatally wounded in a retaliatory gang-related shooting that targeted the wrong house in the 6700 block of Courtney Michelle Street, police said. Three people were subsequently arrested, and one suspect was still being sought, police said.

Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to call North Las Vegas Police at 702-633-9111. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at crimestoppersofnv.com.
