It is with a heavy heart that we watch as America sells weapons of war to Saudi Arabia, which uses them to destroy Yemen —a country where 85,000 children suffered from malnutrion last year.
Now we learn that our president gives the Saudi Prince a free pass on killing a journalist who was U.S. resident. Obviously, the Oval Office has forgotten what most of us learned in fifth grade: “When America ceases to be good, we will cease to be great.”
On another note, I am so proud of our state for not electing the clones of President Donald Trump to represent us in Congress.I am just as proud of our conservative friends to the north in Utah for electing a patriotic gentleman, Mitt Romney, to the Senate. We can be confident he will not co-sign the boorish behavior we have been forced to witness coming from the Oval Office.
