A naked man who was knocking on a person’s door was arrested Saturday after police found him in an apartment with a severely injured woman who later died, according to Metro Police.

Police responded about 3:30 p.m. Saturday to the 2900 block of Juniper Hills Boulevard to investigate a report of a suspicious person, police said. A caller said the man, who wasn’t wearing any clothes, was knocking on their door and appeared to have blood on him, police said.

Officers were directed to an apartment, where they found Charles Talley, 50, inside with the injured woman, police said. The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead, police said.

Talley was a previous resident of the apartment but had recently been evicted, police said. The victim was a homeless woman Talley knew and had brought to the apartment, police said.

Talley was taken to the Clark County Detention Center, where he faces one count each of sexual assault and open murder, police said.

The woman’s name has not yet been released.
