U.S. Rep. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., candidate for U.S. Senate, speaks at C3 Church in Las Vegas Las Vegas on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018.

Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen of Nevada has raised $7.1 million in campaign contributions over the last three months as she tries to unseat Republican Sen. Dean Heller.

Rosen's campaign announced details today of her fundraising from July through September.

Her quarterly fundraising haul is double what she brought in from April through June in one of the closest Senate battles in the country.

Quarterly campaign cash reports are due next week.

Heller's fundraising totals have not yet been released.

His most recent report showed he brought in about $2.4 million last quarter — about a million less than Rosen raised that period.

The Democrat however spent heavily and ended June with less campaign cash than Heller.

He reported starting July with about $6 million while she reported having $3.8 million.
