QB Paul Myro shines for Basic in win against Chaparral

Quarterback Paul Myro passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another tonight to lead the visiting Basic High football team to a 35-14 victory against Chaparral.

Dorian McAllister had a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Wolves, who led 28-0 at halftime.

Myro threw touchdown passes of 7 yards to Trace Evans and 25 yards to Christopher Render. The junior signal caller also had a rushing score.

Basic limited Chaparral to less than 30 yards of offense in the first half.

“We played really well defensively,” Basic coach Jeff Cahill said. “We shut them down pretty good.”
