The Centennial High football team may have found something special with its underclassmen.
Sophomore quarterback Colton Tenney passed for 360 yards and four touchdowns tonight in a 34-0 win at Palo Verde, including scoring strikes of 75 and 60 yards to another sophomore, Gerick Robinson.
“We have some pretty good athletes. We were able to hit some screens for long touchdowns,” Centennial coach Dustin Forshee said.
Davone Walden had an interception in the endzone to secure the shutout. He also had a receiving touchdown.
“Our defense played lights out,” Forshee said.
