This man is sought in an armed robbery at a southeast valley convenience store.

An armed suspect who on Monday morning robbed a southeast valley convenience store is being sought by authorities, according to Metro Police.

Police on Tuesday released surveillance images of the suspect, a male described as being in his late teens or early 20s.

Officers responded about 5 a.m. to the store in the 5600 block of Mountain Vista Street, near Russell Road, police said. The suspect had entered the business and robbed it at gunpoint, although it wasn't clear what he took.

The suspect was further described as having a medium build and standing about 5 feet, 10 inches, police said. He wore a pair of dark-framed prescription glasses, a light gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants, police said.
