Terrell Owens shows off the mobile gaming options at The Book at The Linq.

No Las Vegas Boulevard casino resort has gone through more change in recent years than the Linq (formerly the Quad and Imperial Palace) and yet Caesars Entertainment is just getting started on this energetic, center-Strip property. The newest addition is The Book, a sports book, bar, restaurant and lounge stacked with innovative gaming and entertainment technologies, a self-serve beer wall, delicious eats from the new Sticky Chicken food truck and a welcoming design constructed around a series of comfy “fan caves” that feel more like the ultimate living room sports party than a stereotypical casino experience. I got a glimpse at the grand opening celebration on Thursday where Caesars CEO and President Mark Frissora hosted NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens for a proper kickoff. If you’re looking for a spot for your next watch party, check it out.

Downtown Las Vegas’ Mob Museum celebrated the milestone of its 2 millionth visitor Friday morning with surprise festivities for Sylvia Geitner, a Vegas visitor from Munich. Museum President and CEO Jonathan Ullman presented the VIP guest with a key to the museum and both Mayors Goodman, Carolyn and Oscar, were on hand to present a proclamation and lead a special toast. In its six years of operation, the museum has generated an estimated economic impact of $20.5 million. More than 50,000 audio tours have been taken and more than 9,000 students have participated in educational outreach programs.

On Saturday morning, the One Drop Foundation hosted the seventh annual 2-mile Walk for Water for One Drop at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve where more than 1,000 participants raised $75,000 to support the organizations’ mission to provide access to safe water for everyone. Local performers from “The Beatles LOVE” and “Fantasy” hyped up the walkers after Mayor Goodman welcomed the crowd.

On Saturday night, Grammy-winning star Pink and husband and former motocross star Carey Hart visited Caesars Palace to check out “Absinthe.” “Thank you for the laughs, my stomach hurts!” Instagrammed the singer after the show. She’ll be back for a second tour stop at T-Mobile Arena on May 26.

The sixth annual Casino Entertainment Awards were presented as part of the Global Gaming Expo last week and several entertainers and industry standouts were honored inside Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel. Legendary musicians the Righteous Brothers and nightclub icon Victor Drai received Casino Entertainment Legend awards recognizing lifetime achievement in the casino entertainment industry while Chubby Checker was named Casino Entertainer of the Year, Bill Engvall won Casino Comedian of the Year and the Commodores were named Casino Musical Artists of the Year. Other recipients included “Legends in Concert” for Casino Production Show of the Year and Monica Reeves of Station Casinos for Casino Entertainment Executive of the Year.

While he was in town last week to perform a solo show at the House of Blues, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis checked in at the Hard Rock Hotel to help unveil a new memorabilia case to add to the resort’s collection of musical relics. His “uniform” of all-black AllSaints gear was worn during the release party for his new album “Black Labyrinth” and for the filming of the music video for “Basic Needs." As he told me for a recent Sun interview, Davis will be back in Las Vegas later this year for the debut of buddy Criss Angel’s new “Mindfreak” show at Planet Hollywood.
