In response to the Aug. 13 column by Gregory Clay, “Should Obama speak out more in defense of his legacy?” I do not believe Barack Obama should even entertain the thought.
President Donald Trump does not belong in the same conversation as Obama, but unfortunately, we have to call him president. Trump in less than two years has destroyed international relationships, which took this country generations to build. Obama united people nationally and internationally while bridging the gap in our economy.
Trump is a disgrace to the flag and our country’s legacy, and what we should be talking about is his impeachment.
Obama has nothing to prove and he is clearly missed. So why respond? Trump is doing a great job of being the example of what not be to. So why mix oil with good drinking water?
Because of Trump, I fear for my kids’ future that they may be confused in thinking that this is what a president should be.
