The creation of the so-called Space Force branch of the military is absurd. It would create more expenditures for defense that are unnecessary because they already within existing branches.
The opposite direction should be considered, which would be looking at eliminating wasteful expenditures.
On top of adding wasteful expenditures to the military budget, Space Force would add another large bureaucracy.
Also, questions remain surrounding accountability and transparency. What will be the annual budget? Who will be directing it, and how will they be appointed?
Let's not consider creating an unnecessary bureaucracy.
