In an effort to drum up leads, Metro Police on Tuesday released a photo of a slaying victim and that of an SUV connected to his shooting at a southeast valley house eight months ago.

Jammie Jackson, 30, was found dead with a gunshot wound to his chest about 5 a.m. Feb. 19 on the driveway of 4323 Del Santos Drive, the scene of a triple fatal shooting two months prior.

Jackson and a woman had walked up to the house shortly before gunfire rang out, and knocked on the door, calling for someone who did not live there, police said.

They weren’t let in, and as they stood outside, a light-color compact SUV drove up. A man got out to verbally confront Jackson and shot him, police said. The suspect was only described as a black male.

Hours before the shooting, Jackson had been in police custody, and investigators at the time theorized that he had been targeted by the shooter, who likely followed him or knew he would be there.

At that same house on Dec. 22, Christine Rose Sanchez, 48, allegedly opened fire on three of her roommates, killing them. Her case remains in the court system.

Investigators at the time had described the location as a “problem house.”
