Man sought in N.C. slaying arrested in Las Vegas

A Fayetteville man suspected in a murder from last month has been arrested by police in Las Vegas.

Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested Michael Moore, age 44, on Sunday, according to a news release Tuesday by the Fayetteville Police Department. Additional details were not immediately available, the release stated.

Fayetteville police had been looking for Moore in the Aug. 22 death of Marcquius Timmons-Moore, age 43, whose body was found inside a home on the 700 block of York Road in Fayetteville. Police consider her death a homicide and issued first-degree murder warrants for Moore, who was reported to be living with Timmons-Moore at the time of her death.

Fayetteville Police extended its thanks to the Las Vegas department for its help in the investigation.
